About Me

I am a creative, an educator, and an entreprenuer. I'm also a networker, a manager, a businessman, and a teacher. I have many years of experience in graphic design, video production, web design, computer programming, project management, system integration, marketing, and business.

In 1999, I started my first corporation, Web Radicals, to provide web design and hosting. Also in 1999, Web Radicals acquired NuGraphX, Inc., a graphic design and marketing firm. In 2003, I started my second company, The Detroit Creative Group. Since that time I've managed clients such as Ford Motor Company, Brookies, and Audette Office Equipment.

I'm currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Schoolcraft College and an adjunct with Ferris State University. I've sat on advisory boards for Schoolcraft College, Ferris State University, the Art Institue of Michigan, and Breihaupt Technical Center (Detroit Public Schools). I'm an active member and a Past Chair of the Detroit ACM/SIGGRAPH Professional Chapter, and a former President of the Southeast Michigan Animation and Effects Group (SEMAFX). I've also been active with the ACM/SIGGRAPH Education Committee, holding positions of Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator and ACM/SIGGRAPH Student Animation Competition Coordinator(SPACE-Time). My latest board membership was with AIGA West Michigan, where I was Director for Education.

When not working on Detroit Creative work, teaching, or community activities, I spend time with my wife exploring the Grand Rapids, Michigan area where we live and play.
